Man puts "I watched Heneral Luna" in his resume, gets hired as history professor
MANILA - A batch of new professors were named in the University of Santo Tomas today. One stood out from them: a man who had nothing on his resume except "I watched Heneral Luna."

"Nilagay ko lang na nanood ako ng Heneral Luna," said Arthur Bernardo when asked how he got hired. ("I just put that I watched Heneral Luna".)

Bernardo, who graduated in high school with a grade of 70's, was shocked to find out that he will now be teaching in one of the most prestigious universities in Asia. "Nagulat nga ako eh. Di pa ko nakakasok ng college -- ngayon pa lang pero bilang isang propesor." ("I was shocked. I've never stepped foot in a college -- only now, but as a professor.")

Bernardo said that he watched Heneral Luna twenty times before sending his resume to multiple universities in Manila. The 28-year-old is expected to start teaching on November 2015 and is said to be very excited. "Mas-okay to kesa sa networking. Nakakapagod na din sabihin yung word na 'power' eh." ("This is much better than networking. Saying the word 'power' was getting tiresome too.")

According to Wikipedia: Heneral Luna is a 2015 Filipino historical biopic film depicting General Antonio Luna's leadership of the Philippine Revolutionary Army during the Philippine-American War.

Heneral Luna received much hype after being shown in cinemas nationwide. Noted for tackling a different topic unlike the usual triumvirate of Filipino movies which are all about love, family and religion.
